Since 1987, Flavio Maluf has been one of the influential and hardworking members in Eucatex Group. He has done lots of great things to bring the firm to its present position. Flavio started his career at Eucatex Group in the trade area and served for a few years before progressing to the industrial department. He managed to work in this department till 1996. In the same year, he was invited by Eucatex’s president to become part of the company’s board member. In 1997, he was appointed to become the chief executive officer of Eucatex Group, a position he still serves to date.
His Inputs in the Company
As the president of this great firm, Flavio Maluf has been focusing and investing heavily in the launching of new products and amazing innovation in the firm. Furthermore, he has been able to modernize Eucatex’s management structure. Flavio is a graduate of Fundacao Almando Alvares Penteado, an institution located in Sao Paulo, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering. In addition, he went ahead to study other important and specialized courses including people management, accounting, trade and foreign exchange.
Eucatex Group was established in 1951 as the first firm in Brazil to consider both acoustic and environmental comfort. In addition, it pioneered the use of eucalyptus as the main raw material for producing sheets and panels. Eucatex’s first factory was opened in 1954 in Sao Paulo. After that, the company started its activities by producing softer sheets of acoustic ceilings and wood fibers. Later on, they began manufacturing insulation and acoustic panels. The business grew rapidly since it catered for all the needs of furniture manufacturers and large civil construction industries. Under Flavio’s leadership, Eucatex Group inaugurated another factory in Salto.
Besides his involvement with the large enterprise, Mr. Maluf is also takes part in voluntary work and charity events with an aim to assist community members. Additionally, he has played a major role in assisting young entrepreneurs achieve their set goals and objectives.
