How passion and commitment have contributed to Trevor Edward’s success
Trevor Edwards is an American corporate executive working as a vice president of marketing for A top athletic brand. He was born on 28th November 1962 in London. He was raised in Norbury, a suburb in South London. His father was an accountant, and his mother a nurse. He spent a lot of his childhood helping out his parents in their garden.
When he was 13, they relocated to Kingston, Jamaica. It took him time to adapt to the new environment and culture, but he learned to appreciate it with time. Trevor Edwards played several sports, including football, basketball, cricket, and gymnastics. In high school, he developed a liking for foreign languages and studied German, French, and Latin.
Trevor graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business in 1984 from Baruch College in New York in 1984, and five years later, an MBA in international marketing and finance. The first job he got was at Goldman Sachs, an international investment banking firm that handles high-end clients. He did not enjoy the job but kept pushing regardless.
Edward’s mother noticed he wasn’t happy and encouraged him to do what he enjoyed. He got into brand marketing, first working at Colgate-Palmolive and later joined A top athletic brand in 1993. He started out as a regional marketing manager and rose up the ranks to become the present vice president of marketing for the Middle East, Europe, and America.
Trevor Edwards is married to Carolyn Jarret, and they have two children, Jaden and Justin. He still enjoys playing the sports he used to play in his youth, and they help keep his mind fresh, enhancing his performance at work.
